Kinesio Taping
Mark Spier is a Certified Kinesiotape Practitioner.
Kinesiotape is an elastic, cotton tape with acrylic adhesive that is used for taping athletic injuries and other physical disorders.
The tape can be applied from the neck and shoulder down to the feet to increase or decrease muscle activity, to increase circulation or lymphatic flow and mechanical realignment or joint stabilization. It has been used worldwide since its discovery in 1980 and has been very popular among professional athletes and in Olympic athletes since the 2008 Beijing Olympics and was used extensively at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Kinesio tape can be used in injuries such as muscle strains, ligament sprains, unstable joints, tendinitis, fasciitis, muscle tightness and spasms, flat feet, fascial tightness and pain and tissue swelling and bruising.
