The Occupational Therapist

Occupational therapists help individuals with physical and cognitive difficulties to function successfully in their home, work, and community. Occupational therapy utilizes purposeful tasks, personalized to each individual, to recover from injury and/or illness; these strategies promote independence with daily living skills and leisure interests. Occupational therapists also perform home safety evaluations to identify needs for durable medical equipment or adaptive equipment.
